This yarn is from a community in Nepal They spin, wash and dye the yarn. This is a Fair Trade Item helping the women in Nepal to make a living.

Greens and Purples The red and purple didn't photograph well...it's just gorgeous! I'll try again. It is the same soft clean worsted to bulky weight yarn, spun from the silk left from making the silk for sari's.
Multi colored with an eyelash texture! This has been washed and is so soft! It will weave or knit up beautifully!
Black, a great way to show off the other colors These are such pretty colors I couldn't resist! It isn't your normal sari silk size, a bulky weight. It feels a lot softer and drapes nicer to the touch than some sari silk I've had. It is very clean and a color I had not seen. 48 yard per 100gr skein / $7.50

This is a lovely shiny bulky yarn, the same size as the Sari Silk and will work with it nicely. It has a smoother feel to the sari silk, but still has that tighter twist that you are to expect with these fibers. It softens nicely when washed.
