Traveling .... be home end of September
Silk is one of my favorite fibers. It's shiny, drapes, breathes and is luxurious. Silk yarn and fiber comes is from India. It is cultivated Mulberry Silk. To get the white fiber only mulberry leaves are eaten by the caterpillars. This has been a major industry for generations. I stock several sizes of silk yarn for weavers, knitters, crochet and other fiber arts. Also there are different silk products for handspinning, papermaking and felting. Silk dyes beautifully. I have handpainted silk skeins available and can take custom orders. Always care for your silk gently. It can be washed on a gentle cycle and hung or laid flat to dry.
This is a fine yarn, usually used in weaving, cobweb knitting or fine crochet.
